I use RN Remote to connect to a Netgear ReadyNAS, which is one way. The other way is to buy the ArkMC DLNA app if you like to stream photos, videos etc.
The App works better than the RN Remote and is worth the little money.
There are other Apps out there too, but as ArkMC worked fine for me, I did not look for other solutions.
